Royal Caribbean International welcomes guests with service animals onboard all our ships. With advance notice, we provide a relief area that is a 4 foot by 4 foot box with cypress mulch or sod that is placed on a designated open deck. Please let us know which type of surface your dog is more comfortable with. Service animals are welcome anywhere on the ship where there is public access.
Guests are responsible for obtaining all required paperwork (latest vaccination records, ID card for service dog including classification) for the service animal to depart the vessel in the ports of call. A copy of the paperwork(service animal certification) including inoculations should be faxed to
Get in the Game USA at 954-527-7704 a minimum of 70 days prior to sailing and a copy should be brought onboard the ship.
There is no requirement that assistance dogs disembark at ports of call. If the guest still wants to leave the ship, the assistance dog may not be left onboard unattended. The assistance dog must be left with a traveling companion; unfortunately we do not provide dog-sitting services.
We work with operators of our shore excursions regarding guests are traveling with an assistance dog, and generally we have found most tour operators are accommodating so we do not see this as a major issue.
If you have specific questions or concerns may call the RCCL Access Department at 866-592-7225 or e-mail special_needs@rccl.com (there is an underscore between special and needs).
